Mozambique and the Maldives. Singapore and Sri Lanka. Thailand and Tanzania. These are just some of the more than 39 countries I’ve had the pleasure of traveling to over the years. I particularly love Vietnam (so beautiful and fascinating) and New Zealand (the people are so warm and welcoming), but Hawaii is the destination I’ve probably been back to the most. As a travel advisor for more than three decades, I’ve planned some pretty incredible trips for my clients as well. One of the more memorable ones was a surprise party at Las Ventanas in Los Cabos for a client’s sixtieth birthday. It involved arranging for a group of 20 people to arrive at approximately the same time from all over the U.S. and Canada and keeping it a surprise. Some of their activities included chartering a yacht for the day and enjoying dinner in the resort’s wine cellar. Booking a successful trip for a client basically boils down to being inquisitive and understanding, and a good listener. I am married with five children and seven grandchildren. My favorite pastime is—no surprise here—traveling. I particularly enjoy cruising.
