Ellie Tannenbaum
If you’re looking for a travel agent who is passionate about culture, food and people with lots of experience, I’d love to work with you. I started my career in travel in 1972, working for several airlines, owned my own agency, and then joined Protravel International, all the while, traveling the world. Now, at 88 years young, I still enjoy putting my experience and the leverage Protravel affords me to work, creating exciting and memorable for my clients while helping them feel as comfortable on the road as they do at home.
Among the more fun trips I’ve planned are the ones where clients have asked me to surprise them. I planned a 12-day family safari to Kenya and Tanzania years ago, and now I’m planning trips for the kids’ families! Another favorite was a proposal trip to Paris; “Book it before I change my mind,” he’d said. I guess I did a good job because now, I plan trips for him, his wife and their 2.5 children!
I have learned that the world has gotten smaller. We have to find a way to co-exist.. You can sneeze in Belgium and we know it here, before you wipe it. I have learned there is a lot be seen and learned, and digested and shared.
And my advice? Don’t sweat the small stuff & pack light!
