The South of France is one of my favourite places and a destination I know extensively through my travels. I’ve visited Cannes regularly over the years and have explored many of the beautiful towns and villages along the Côte d’Azur, as well as travelling inland through Provence. I love the combination of beautiful scenery, wonderful food and wine, lovely beaches, fantastic culture and that unmistakable French Riviera atmosphere.
The glamour of Cannes and St Tropez is certainly part of the appeal, but there is so much more to discover. I love the beauty and character of villages such as Mougins and St Paul de Vence, exploring the streets and galleries of Antibes, or spending time in Juan-les-Pins, which has a wonderfully relaxed feel and some lovely sandy beaches. Villefranche-sur-Mer is another favourite, with its beautiful pastel-coloured buildings and waterfront, while Monaco is an easy day trip from the Côte d’Azur, with the train offering a particularly easy and fun way to arrive.
For those wanting to explore beyond the coast, Provence offers a completely different experience. I have particularly enjoyed spending time in the beautiful hilltop village of Gordes and exploring L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, which is known for its pretty canals and wonderful antique shops. These are two places that really capture the character of Provence, while the surrounding region offers opportunities to visit some fabulous vineyards, discover local markets and enjoy the slower pace of Provençal life.
Whether you’re looking for a stylish Riviera escape, a relaxing beach holiday, a family trip or a romantic journey combining the coast with Provence, I can use my personal knowledge of the region to help create an itinerary that suits you. From choosing the right base and hotel to planning day trips and experiences, I can help clients make the most of everything this beautiful part of France has to offer.
