Hey! I am a tourism and travel industry executive with over 11 years of experience, whose goal is to change the face of travel.

As a first generation American and Brooklyn native to Guyanese immigrants, I started my journey of discovery at the age of four, first traveling “home” to Guyana. Eighteen countries across four continents later, I am recognized as a change agent for diversity and inclusion in the travel industry.

Travel is an opportunity to not only grow, but one to learn and discover yourself. I started Our Black Passports LLC in 2019 with the specific intent to help others learn through travel and disrupt the narrative of Black travel.

An amazing trip to South Africa!

Maya! We want to thank you for planning such an amazing and memorable trip! Clive, our driver and guide, was amazing and added so much to our experience. His thorough knowledge, easy manner and obvious love for South Africa really helped us understand and appreciate the culture, history and people of South Africa. Both our stays at The Commodore and Aquila were fantastic (so glad we stayed over at Aquila!). The Commodore especially, we all loved the breakfasts and everyone was so friendly. We were able to have inter-leading rooms both visits and it was a game changer! And the activities were phenomenal - petting a cheetah at the sanctuary, seeing the penguins and all of the animals on safari (we saw a rhino take a mud bath, the lions were right beside our vehicle!) surpassed our expectations. Clive brought so much vibrancy to every place we visited as well making our experiences that much more meaningful. Thank you for all the time and effort you spent with us. We appreciated all of your tips and help.The amount of time and patience you had for us was truly wonderful - hard to find someone like you !
