The absolute best!
Deborah Bald has helped me plan at least ten trips around the US and Europe over the past two years. A trip with teenagers in Rome, romance in Lake Como, art classes in the Netherlands— Deborah has fulfilled every request I’ve ever made while also finding a way to elevate the experience beyond anything I had imagined. She is creative, pragmatic, beyond conscientious, and easily works with different ages and personality needs—idiosyncrasies, even—with grace and no judgment. The AXUS app is a terrific resource, too. Working with Deborah has changed travel for me. It is all pleasure and adventure without any stressful details or loose ends. The only downside is that now I’m always planning the next trip!

Going Beyond the Beyond
It is not my nature to do online reviews but in light of the exceptional service received from Deborah Bald of ProTravel I decided to share our experience.
I am a very detail oriented person. In the past I have taken care of much of the travel planning.
Africa was a different matter.
From the moment we engaged I knew Deborah was a fit for us. She listened attentively, intent on determining what we wanted to do…not some packaged trip they provided.
She recruited ‘boots on the ground’ and together we created a trip encompassing seven countries, magnificent safaris, stunning accommodation, superb guiding and seamless transitions.
All air, visas & medical requirements were flawlessly taken care of by Deborah & her team.
There was never a moment that she was not on top of every aspect.
No matter where you plan to travel I would highly recommend that Deborah be part of your planning.

Mother Daughter Turkey
This trip, of all my many travel experiences, was outstanding in so many ways. That the adventure unfolded so effortlessly and so pleasantly is due, in large measure, to the expert advice and planning of our agent, Deborah Bald. No details were overlooked.

Customization is what is is all about!
Deborah Bald and ProTravel are simply the best. Over the past two years, she has crafted four unforgettable trips. Each trip had a difference “audience” (anniversary, family vacation, mother/daughter, and girls trip). Deborah is extraordinarily attuned to detail and knows our preferences. She knows how to advocate with her travel partners and hotels to ensure our experience is nothing short of perfect.
Last March, our family traveled through Spain. We arrived in Barcelona and jumped right into a customized tour of the city’s architectural heritage. Deborah had the hotel prepare a boxed breakfast for our day excursion to Monserrat. She also planned the perfect day for a family that loves the outdoors, as well as good food and wine. Our tour guide was also a sommelier, and we had the chance to enjoy some of the best local wines on our way back into the city. I will say our hotel in Madrid was my favorite. Unforgettable 60th Birhtd
Deborah planned a fabulous 60th birthday trip for me (Rebecca) and my husband (Tom).
We were thrilled with the guidance, recommendations, and attention to detail that Deborah provided from start to finish. She spent time talking to and emailing with us to understand our hopes for the trip, our interests (gardens and tea for me; museums and history for Tom), our budget, and our hotel preferences.
Each accommodation was a perfect fit for us - from the boutique hotel in London to the charming inn in Oxford to the incredible historic country estate where we were upgraded to a phenomenal suite with two fireplaces!
At each place we stayed, we were warmly greeted by the staff with birthday wishes and superb service. It was very clear that Deborah had prepared them for our stay at each location, and it was a fantastic experience!
Deborah's personal touch was everywhere: the pre-trip advice, the AXUS itinerary, the birthday surprises in our rooms, and her check-ins with us during the trip.

Girls trip!
Deborah goes out of her way to ensure smooth travel and accommodations. Deborah booked multiple hotel rooms for us and made sure everyone was all set - and it’s never easy to keep all girls happy! The few times (so far!) that she’s booked rooms for me, I was upgraded and another time, the room was less than satisfactory, but minutes after I texted her, our room was changed and we ended up in a superior suite. Deborah goes above what you’d expect in a travel professional, and best of all, she’s fun to work with! I’d highly recommend working with Deborah on all of your travel needs!

The best trip ever!
We just returned from an incredible trip to Iceland, and it was everything we dreamed of — and more — thanks to our amazing travel guru, Deborah Bald. We told Deborah we wanted “go, go, go” adventure, and she delivered exactly that, perfectly balanced with moments to relax and recharge. She thought through every single detail so our trip flowed seamlessly from start to finish.
One of the best examples? Deborah booked us at The Retreat at the Blue Lagoon immediately after our redeye flight. Arriving in Iceland at 6:00 a.m., exhausted, and being able to relax in pure luxury before starting our itinerary was exactly what we didn’t know we needed. It set the tone for the whole trip and is something I would never have thought to do on my own.
Deborah’s thoughtful planning, deep knowledge, and dedication to making our trip special meant we could simply enjoy Iceland without stress. We’re already dreaming about where she can send us next!

Amazing custom trip across two countries!
Deborah did a great job of finding and planning out activities that the whole family loved to do every day for two whole weeks--not easy to do! It never felt like we were just hitting the highlights of whatever city we were in (although we certainly did see those); instead, the trip felt customized to what our family enjoyed about traveling and would find interesting to explore. She helped us really get to know both Turkey and Germany through a combination of amazing food, unique hotels, and interesting tours. 10/10 recommend!

LA Marathon
Our 3 children recently ran the LA marathon and Deborah booked our rooms. She found a hotel with a fabulous location and great accommodations. They upgraded all of our rooms one to a large suite with a wrap around balcony. It made our time spent in LA extra comfortable.
Deborah always takes great care in reaching out to the hotels prior to our arrival to check on upgrades and arrival logistics.

Mother Daughter Amsterdam
Deborah Bald planned a wonderful trip for my 20 year old daughter and me. We really wanted to explore the city and surrounding areas and Deborah planned off the beaten path adventures and activities for us, as well as hitting all the historical and art highlights. Personal guides for the museums were essential! Making dutch pancakes at a canal home and painting "like Van Gogh" at an artist's studio were experiences we will never forget. I couldn't have planned all these fabulous experiences on my own and Deborah was easy to work with and offered various of options from us to choose from. Her hotel recommendations were spot on and informed. Our experience with her planning was amazing and our family will definitely utilize her services in the future.
