I started forming custom travel groups through the Meetup.com website, and at first I expected to attract 30 or 40 people, for whom I could create custom packages. I called the group “I'll Take You There,” and it has exceeded my wildest dreams. To date, I have over 500 members and we meet once a month so everyone can get to know one another.

I believe travelers on a group itinerary should get along and have similar interests.  The companions you travel with are as important as the destination.  I have always made sure to match group members based on their personalities and interests, because I understand how important this dynamic is to a wonderful getaway.
