I never thought I’d be able to see as many countries as I have but becoming a travel agent certainly changed that! In my spare time, I like to travel as much as possible to both gain information for planning trips for future clientele, as well as enjoy the experience as much as possible.
A memorable trip that I took was on an expedition cruise that traveled to sites of major World War II events throughout the Pacific. I liked the opportunity to practice my photography at these sites, as well as learn valuable facts about the destinations along the way. On other expedition trips, I’ve traveled to the Arctic, to Antarctica and to countries like Papua New Guinea and Indonesia. I’ve also explored Micronesia on expedition trips. Getting the chance to meet a local tribe or to see truly phenomenal sites makes these types of trips well worth the time.
My biggest advice for my clients is to enjoy the destination when they arrive, but don’t try to change it. You might not agree with the country’s politics and you might not agree with their religion. But, at the end of the day, you’re there to learn from and immerse yourself in the culture. Go with an open mind and you’ll be surprised at what you find.
If you’re ready to plan an unforgettable vacation, contact me. I’ll be happy to help you along your next journey.
